Wakatere speed writing

This morning we had to completed a speed writing challenge in 10 minutes. Here is my writing that I had to completed in just 10 minutes.

Tiaki Taonga means to care for other people and you show that you care for the people around you. You should always show that you care for other people around you cause if you are you are showing that you care for them. You should never judge the way people look like or sound like too. At Pt England school our number one thing we do is to treat everyone equally. If you are anywhere you should always show that you care for other people around you even if you don’t know them and they don’t know you you still need to show Tiaki Taonga caring. Never judge people about there looks even if they are not pretty you should not judge the way they look they are pretty in there on way. We always show that we are great role models. Tiaki Taonga show that you care for every body in the hole world.

Empathy

Title: Empathy

Hello I am going to tell you what empathy means to me. Empathy means to me that you care for one another and look out for each other. In our school the number one thing we do is to care for every body.

Empathy is to show that you care about the people around you. You should never judge the way people look. Empathy is when you show that you care about others not just yourself. If the whole word showed empathy then we would live in a caring word and every one would treat everybody the same way.

Empathy is important because if you are showing empathy you are showing that you care for them. I think being able to show empathy is important because then` people will know that you care about them. You should always show empathy because you are showing that you care for everybody. Being a ware of and sharing another people's feeling's experiences and emotion's.

Farewell post

Hi my name is Wakatere Cecil and I am in room 19 at Pt England School and I am a year 7. I am really really looking forward to being a year 8 next year I can't wait to be are year 8. I want to be a year 8 because it is awesome.

I just want to say good bye to my dear friends who are leaving next year they are Andrea Kelly and Te Rina Kirkwood. I am really going to miss them because I am going to be lonely.  I don't want my best year 8 friends to go to college next year.  I don't want the year to end now.

I just want to say a very good bye to the best teacher I ever had and her name is Miss Tito. I am going to Miss you but I will still see you around at school. Just to let you no Miss Tito you taught me a lot this year you taught me a lot of Maori.

Next year there should be a singing studio and a dance studio.  Next year at Pt England School the whole school should get a netbook each the school will happy.  Next year the senior group should all get an ipad and we could take it home too.

This year the best thing I liked is being in room 19 with all these pretty cool and awesome friend's I have. This year it's been a pretty cool year I hope next year will be the same.

Our School Cross Country

Yesterday on the 22nd our school had a Cross Country. We had groups like Mataatua (green), Te Arawa (red), Tainui (Blue) and Takitimu (yellow). The first one's to run was the 5 year olds then the 6 year olds. They had to run 1kilometre. The year 3s and 4s had to run 1.5. The 10 year olds had to run 2 laps, 2.5 kilometre. Than the year 7s had to run 2 laps, 3 kilometre and the year 8s had to run 2 laps, 3.5 kilometre. When we were waiting for the 10 year olds to finished there run we just had to stay in the sun and wait. Then Miss Nua told the year 8s and 7s to go in the shade. When the 10 year olds where nearly finished Miss Nua told us to go where the trees are. Then it was the year 7 girls time to run.

They had to get up and go to the staring line and wait for the alarm to ring. Once the alarm has rang the girls had to run. When the girls ran the year 7 boys had to go to the staring line and wait for the first girl to run throw the finish line. Then the first girl came throw the finish line sorry I do not the girls name. Then it was time for the year 7 boys time to run. When it was our torn we where all reedy. Then the alarm rang. We ran as fast as we can. We had to run 2 laps. Once around the field then we went throw the these pols to go to Pt England reserve and once around the bottom field. The we go throw the senior play ground  and  the go past the finished line then do it all over again. When we were done it was time for the year 8s time to run.

When I was nearly at the finishing line I almost fall were the pols where but I made it. When I was at the finish line and I was done I felt every happy and I was so proud of my self. I crossed the finish line with my friend Efilona. But I crossed be for her so we didn't cross the finish line to gather.

I liked the race because when I was running I got to jump in some deep poodles. Thats why I liked the run we had yesterday. When we were done our class room19 went back to the class room and we had to go home. We said our good byes and left. That was the coolest Cross Country run ever.  

My Holidays

Who likes having holidays?

On the first day of the holidays me and my family went to my nanas.

When we got there my nana was so happy to see us she gave us a big hug.

When she finished giving us a hug we went inside the house. When we went inside the house we had a pie. When I was done with the pie I went inside my nanas room to get the PSP. 

When I was playing on the PSP I could here this noise coming from the roof. I went to go and see what was making that noise. I went out side looked up on the roof but nothing was there so I went on the other side of the roof and it was just a cat walking on top of the roof. So I went back inside the house and sat on the bed. Then I went out side because it was boring just playing on the PSP. So me and my brother made a little village for the bugs. We could the little village bugsvill. We made it with flowers and sticks.

When we were done we busted it down. It was the last day of the holidays the only thing I liked doing at my nanas was making little villages but the sad bit was when me and my brother busted it down that was the sad bit for the bugs. Then we went home but my mum ran over the bugsvill me and my brother made. That was my holiday.

 

   

Little Red Riding Hood

Once upon a time in the middle of a thick frost sorted a small cottage, the home of a pretty naughty little girl know to every one little red riding hood. One day her mother waved her goodbye at the garden gate, saying ‘"Grandma is ill. Take her this basket of cakes, but be very careful. Keep to the path through the wood and don't ever stop. That way, you will come to no harm."

Little Red Riding Hood told her mother that she was not going to listen to her because she doesn't listen to anyone.

Full of bad intentions, the little girl had not made it in time to her way through the wood’s, but she was soon to forget her mother's wise words. "What yucki strawberries! And so yuck.”.

Laying her basket on the ground, Little Red Riding Hood bent over and crusted all the strawberry plants. Little red riding hood did not like strawberries, Thats why she crusted them all.

On her way to her Grandma’s house she heard something in the trees. Jumped down a big bad wolf. The wolf said to her “were a you off to little girl” Little red riding hood said to the wolf ” I am going to my

Grandma's house” so the wolf went off and so did little red riding hood.

The red fruit peeped invitingly through the leaves in the grassy glade, and Little Red Riding Hood ran back and forth crushing all the strawberries. Suddenly she saw her Grandma’s cottage.

When she saw her grandmother’s cottage she ran sirat to it.

Finally she got to her Grandma’s cottage. When she got there she kicked the door opened. Then she went  into her grandmother’s room. Little red riding hood said to her Grandma “ What big ears you have”wolf: “ all the better to hear you with”  little red riding hood: “ what big eye’s you have”Grandma: all the better to see you with” little red riding hood: “ What big teeth you have”Grandma: “ all the better to eat you with”.

When the grandmother said that to her it was the wolf who dressed up like the Grandma. little red riding hood said to the wolf “ what have you done with my Grandma” the wolf said “ she is in the cabieds”. Then the wolf started to chase little red riding hood around the room.

Little red riding hood stopped and then she grabbed the basket and  whacked the wolf on the face with the basket. Then the wolf fall down on the ground. Then she went to go and get her Grandma out of the cabieds. When she found her Grandma little red riding hood went back to get the basket full of cakes. She looked at the wolf and said “good night” then she shut his eye’s. They lived happily ever after.

My Scary Story

It was a cold,dark night and I was alone in a strange house. Suddenly I heard a noise. A very strange noise was coming from the basement. I heard a little girl screaming in terror.I went to look in the basement to see what was making that strange noise, but when I got there there was nothing there.

When I left the basement I could hear that strange noise again. I went back down there and I saw a little girl. She was just standing there, doing nothing except for making a lot of noise. I tried to tell her to come up stairs but she said nothing so I left her down there.

When I went back to my room I took my shoes off  and put them in the wardrobe. When I put my shoes away I could feel something behind me. Then I looked behind me, it was the little girl that I had left behind.

When I saw her she said “Hello what are you doing here?” and I said “I live here now.” When I said that I lived here she told me that I am in very big danger. I went to go and take the little girl back home but my hand went straight through her and I found out that she was a ghost!!

The Drumming

Today at the school assemble there were three boys from room 19 and they were playing the drums on the stage. When they played it  it sound so cool they were the boom. The three boys that were playing the drums there names a Jonathan, Anthony and Nathanial. But they didn't drum for that long they only took like five minis. When they were finished the cook Island drummers and the Cook Island dance came up on the stag and they pi formed there dance. They had cool drummers to and I liked there dance that they did.

Learning about Compassion

What is compassion? This year Pt England School is learning to be “Better Together”. “Kia pai te kotahi”. In Room 19 we have been investigating love, compassion, honesty and tolerance. Ms Tito (our teacher) gave us a task to
select one of these words to write a definition and present an example of
what it means to our class. The reason we are learning about these things
are to help us understand ourselves and others so we can be better together person today and in the future.

My group chose the word  honesty.  Honesty  means  that you tell the truth .
