Title: Valerie Adams
Valerie Kasanita Adams known as Valerie Adams the shot put queen. Valerie was born on the 6th of October in 1984 in Rotorua. She holds the New Zealand commonwealth and world champions records with the best throw of 21.24 meters. Valerie is one of the only nine athletes to win the worlds champions at the youth junior and senior level of the athletes events. When Valerie first started doing shot put she was about the age of 14. In 1999 she competed in the words youth champions. In 1998 Valerie Adams met javelin thrower Kirsten Hellier who would become her coach for 11 years. Valerie’s youngest brother Steven Adam’s is an New Zealand basketball player.
